Privacy Policy: What bet-on-traffic.com Collects and Why
This policy explains what information bet-on-traffic.com collects when you read the site, why, and what choices you have. The short version: a static editorial site with no accounts, no forms and no advertising network. We collect very little.
Who we are
bet-on-traffic.com is an independent explainer about betting on live traffic cameras. We are not a gambling operator, we do not take bets or deposits, and we are not affiliated with 155.io, the studio that develops the CCTV Game range. The site is run by an editorial team that can be reached at editors@bet-on-traffic.com.
What we collect
When you load a page, the web server that hosts the site records a standard access log. Each entry holds the request IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer and browser user-agent. These logs exist to keep the site running, to diagnose errors and to detect abuse. They are not used to build profiles and are deleted on a rolling basis.
Beyond server logs, the site may use a search-engine webmaster tool (such as Google Search Console) and a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. Both show aggregated data only, not individual visitors, and neither is used for advertising. Any analytics service will be named here when installed.
- We do not ask you to create an account and have no login.
- We do not collect names, email addresses or payment details through the site.
- We do not run third-party advertising scripts, social-media pixels or remarketing tags.
- We do not sell, rent or trade any data.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself does not set tracking cookies. A small amount of browser local storage may be used for convenience, for example to remember that you dismissed a notice or to display the local time for a city feed; that data stays in your browser and is never sent to us. An analytics service, if installed, may set a first-party cookie to count visits. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time; the site will continue to work.
Affiliate links and the /go/ redirect
Some links to gambling operators on this site are affiliate links. They pass through a redirect on our own domain (addresses beginning with /go/) and then to a tracking link provided by the operator's affiliate programme. The redirect records which page and button you came from, not who you are. Once you leave our domain, the operator's privacy policy applies. Operators send us aggregate sign-up and commission reports, never personal data.
Links to other sites
The site links to operators, to 155.io as the game's developer, to industry publications and to responsible-gambling organisations. We do not control those sites and this policy does not cover them. Operators will collect personal data when you register; read their policies first.
Legal basis and retention
Where data-protection law applies to our server logs and aggregated analytics, we rely on legitimate interest: keeping a website available, secure and readable. Logs are retained only for as long as needed for those purposes. Aggregated analytics contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its processing. In practice we hold only IP addresses in a rotating log, but you are welcome to ask. Write to editors@bet-on-traffic.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Age
This site discusses gambling and is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and nothing on the site is directed at them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when anything material changes. The date at the top and in the site footer shows the last update. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
